Our Life is an enigma. The problems that life throws in front of us comes in waves; one after another.
To break the spell, one must embark on a journey to rediscover the meaning of 'living', to breathe again, to find the answers for the conundrums of life.
As we sped along the highway, leaving behind our chores, responsibilities; the constant humming noise of the wheels on the tarmac seems like music to the ears. The heart had yearned for the escape to the wild, so it embraced the opportunity with ultimate strength that it can offer.
So we headed down the eastern coast of the Asian Highway into the state of Orissa to a well known place called Puri. A place known for the golden sand beaches, spiritual connect and a plethora of human sentiments.
The roads leading to Puri is a marvel to drive upon. The concrete tarmac inspires confidence to speed towards the destination. The journey itself is no less pleasing than the destination.
The open green spaces with lush green fields satiates the hunger of the eyes for simplicity, to see something other than concrete jungles.
A left turn from the city of Bhubaneswar puts us on the track towards Puri through the sacred buddhist stupa of Dhaulagiri.
As we reached Puri, the open blue sky was a welcome sight. The golden sands were too tempting to take off the shoes and dip the toes in the warm sands. The waves crashing on the steep incline of the sand reminds of the immortality of nature.

Time taken: 10 hours to reach Puri with spending generous amounts of time on breaks. Started journey at 6 am and reached Puri around 4pm.
Accomodation:
Hotel Jeevan Sandhya. This is a nice place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the regular Puri crowd. This hotel is located towards the mohana which is around a kilometer away from the Puri Lighthouse along the beach. If you are a peace loving person this place is highly recommended. The food is decent. Service is decent. The rooms are excellent with protruding balconies that gives a view of the sea. The charges of the hotel are also decent.
